Application and Supporting Materials
Submit a completed application at least 7-days before an audition or the start of a program. Application and supporting materials can be emailed or sent by regular mail (to be received 7-days prior).
Complete each section of the application.
In the Audition section, place a "X" next to the audition type and enter the requesting audition date.
The second page of the application includes a list of supporting materials. Please include information and additional details for each item.
We require proof of a secondary education diploma or its equivalent by the start of the program. Please indicate if applicant is completing secondary education at the time of submission.
In the video demonstration section (if using this option), please type or print the web address links where provided.
Mail your application, supporting materials and payment to arrive at least 7-days before a live audition or start of a program.
When sending by email, attach application (PDF) and supporting materials as an image (jpg, png) or PDF. Please include the video web address links in the body of your email.
We are currently accepting applications for all 2019 and 2020 programs.
We accept personal checks and cashiers checks by mail.
To pay over the phone, please call (323) 962-7733 and ask to speak with a manager. They will take your payment information. We accept all debit and credit cards. You can select to receive an email receipt.
Payments can be made in-person at the academy.
We do not accept online payments at this time.
Application fee must be paid for the application to be accepted and to audition.

10:00-11:30 a.m.: Adv Jazz class
11:30-1:00 p.m.: Int Ballet class; can substitute for 2:30-4:00 pm Beg Ballet
1:00 p.m.: Demonstration of style of your choice (1-min max)
Applications are due 7-days prior to live auditions. Application fee must be paid to audition.
Bring demonstration music on phone, laptop or other digital player with an adapter (if needed) to connect to a 3.5 mm round plug for the studioís sound equipment.
Tap board required for tap demonstration.
Immersion Certificate in Dance applicants are required to complete the Demonstration portion only. AAE scholarship is not available for the Immersion program.

Video for Admission (with application):
PCID, CSID programs: submit a Jazz, ballet and optional dance style video demonstrations.
ICID program: Submit one video of the style of your choice
Video for Scholarship (PCID, CSID programs only):
Within 24 hours from a date you choose, complete and return two video demonstrations of prepared choreography that we send to you (includes links to music).
Videos must be solo performances and filmed specifically for the audition.
Application due 7-days prior to start of program.
Ballet: Womenís attire: black leotard with pink tights and ballet slippers. Menís attire: white fitted t-shirt or tank top with black tights and ballet shoes. All: long hair up off of neck. No jewelry.
Jazz/Other: No specific dress code. Clothing should be fitted and not baggy. Shoes should be versatile for jazz and hip hop.
